Zusammenfassung

HIV 1, der Erreger der erworbenen Immunschwäche (Aids) zeichnet sich als Retrovirus durch besonders hohe Antigenvariationen und Heterogenität des Genoms aus. Dadurch kann das Immunsystem unterlaufen werden. Die Entwicklung einer effektiven Heterovakzine ist aus demselben Grund erschwert.
