Zusammenfassung

Die Wirksamkeit einer systematischen perioperativ durchgeführten ThromboembolieProphylaxe mit Heparin ist in den vergangenen 15 Jahren vielmals geprüft und bestätigt worden. Besonders eindrucksvoll war dieser Effekt bei Patienten, die einer der bekannten “high risk“-Gruppen angehörten, etwa Personen mit elektivem Hüftgelenkersatz oder ausgedehnten Eingriffen im Bereich des Beckens (1, 4, 5, 8).
