Zusammenfassung
Die Unfallrettung hat in Deutschland eine lange Tradition. Auch das Notarztwesen blickt mittlerweile schon auf eine 35jährige Geschichte zurück. Obwohl Martin Kirschner 1937 auf dem Chirurgen-Kongreß die Forderung nach notärztlicher Therapie am Unfallort aufstellte, begann erst 20 Jahre später der systematische Ausbau des Rettungswesens.
