Abstract
A rather important feature of Reduce didn’t get much attention so far. This is the possibility of “importing” further abilities to your Reduce system. On the one hand we have already seen how to define new operators, rules, and procedures. On the other hand one can load files containing a whole bunch of such operators, procedures, or other definitions (new switches, for example). Such a file is called package. Usually such a package provides facilities for a dedicated application.
