Abstract
Gewebsproben von 87 primären Ovarialkarzinomen des Stadiums FIGO III/IV wurden immunhistochemisch (IHC=Immunhistochemie) sowie biochemisch (DCC=Dextran-Coated Charcoal Methode) auf ihren Gehalt von Östrogenrezeptor (ER) und Progesteronrezeptoren (PR) untersucht. Während mittels DCC 62% der Tumoren ER sowie 66% PR positiv waren, konnte die IHC nur in 38% ER positive sowie in 31% PR positive maligne Tumorepithelien zeigen. Es bestand zudem nur eine niedrige Korrelation zwischen den semiquantitativen Scores der ER und PR IHC und den jeweiligen Ergebnissen der DCC Rezeptor Bestimmung. Benigne Steroidrezeptor positive Zellen des Tumorstromas bei andererseits gänzlich negativen Tumorepithelien könnten häufig beobachtete diskrepante Ergebnisse beider Methoden mit »falsch positivem« DCC Wert erklären. Die meisten Patientinnen wurden radikal operiert (n=76) und erhielten eine platinhaltige Chemotherapie (n=79). Während ER im vorliegenden Kollektiv keine signifikante prognostische Bedeutung hatte, hatten Patientinnen mit PR positiven Tumoren (IHC und DCC) bei univariater Analyse einen signifikanten Überlebensvorteil. Nach multivariater Analyse zeigte nur der postoperative Tumorrest eine eindeutige prognostische Signifikanz. In weiteren Studien sollte die biologische Bedeutung Steroidrezeptor positiver Stromazellen in Ovarialkarzinomen untersucht werden.
