Zusammenfassung

Die Adenin-Nukleotide AMP (Adenosin-5′-Monophosphate ADP (Adenose-5′-Diphosphat) und insbesondere das ATP (Adenosin-5′-Triphosphat) sind universelle Lager- und Transportformen zur Kopplung energieliefernder und energieverbrauchender Reaktionen in biologischen Prozessen. Die Oxidationen reduzierter Verbindungen in der Atmungskette bzw. in der Substratkettenphosphorylierung liefern die Energie für die Phosphorylierung von AMP bzw. ADP zu ATP. Das Verhältnis dieser drei Adenylate zueinander ist ein Maßstab für den physiologischen und metabolischen Status von Zellen.
