Zusammenfassung

Der Einsatz von betrieblichen Umweltinformationssystemen stellt eine Notwendigkeit dar, wenn eine aktive ökologische Unternehmenspolitik gewährleistet werden soll. In diesem Artikel wird auf die wesentlichen Ansatzpunkte und die Motivation für den Einsatz solcher Umweltinformationssysteme eingegangen. Es werden die fachlichen und informationstechnischen Anforderungen betrachtet, ein Konzept für ein betriebliches Umweltinformationssystem vorgestellt und Möglichkeiten aufgezeigt, wie ein solches System sich in die DV-Struktur eines Unternehmens integrieren läßt.
