The possible ways of extracting information on nucleon-nucleon correlations in nuclei from elastic proton-nucleus scattering are described in detail in Sect. 11.1. The effects of the nucleon-nucleon correlations on elastic proton-nucleus scattering are considered in the coherent density fluctuation model in Sect. 11.2. The problems of proton production in deep-inelastic intermediate energy proton-nucleus scattering are discussed in relation to the question of the nucleon-nucleon correlations in Sect. 11.3.
