Zusammenfassung

Weichteilsarkome sind eine heterogene Gruppe von malignen Tumoren, die definitionsgemäß aus allen nichtepithelialen, extraskeletalen Geweben mit Ausnahme des RES und der Stützgewebe spezifischer Organe hervorgehen können [6]. Für die USA werden etwa 20 Neuerkrankungen/Mill. Einw./Jahr angegeben [6, 25]. Die Weichteilsarkome machen damit ungefähr 15% der Malignome im Kindesalter und ungefähr 1% im Erwachsenenalter aus [8, 27].
