Zusammenfassung
Pharmaka, die mit dem Ziel entwickelt werden, die Übertragung an der neuromuskularen Endplatte reversibel zu blockieren, können in die Transmitterprozesse nur eingreifen, wenn Strukturanalogien mit Acetylcholin vorliegen. Da Azetylcholin aber Funktionen als universeller Transmitter im gesamten Nervensystem ausübt, ist nicht zu erwarten, daß die Wirkungen der kompetitiven Blocker auf den Ort der neuromuskulären Transmission beschränkt bleiben. Azetylcholinwirkungen können, ausgehend von an den Rezeptoren angreifenden natiirlichen Alkaloiden, in nikotinerge und muskarinerge Wirkungen differenziert werden. Nikotinerge Rezeptoren sind, abgesehen von der neuromuskulären Endplatte, präganglionären autonomen Neuronen, Synapsen des Nebennierenmarks und autonomen Ganglien zuzuordnen. Muskarinerge Rezeptoren sind charakteristisch für postganglionäre parasympathische Nerven, kommen aber auch in postganglionären sympathischen Fasern vor [6, 7, 18].
