Zusammenfassung
Die physiologische Kontrolle der gastrointestinalen (GI) Motilität involviert regulatorische Prozesse in verschiedenen Ebenen (Abb. 1). Eine pharmakologische Stimulation der GI-Motilität kann in jeder dieser Ebenen vorgenommen werden. Der meist beschrittene und erfolgreichste Weg scheint ein Eingriff auf der Ebene des enterischen Nervensystems (ENS) zu sein.
