Abstract

There are many indications for intervention in acute pancreatitis, including trauma to the pancreas, impacted gallstone, complications of pseudocyst, pancreatic abscess, infected necrosis, and possibly sterile necrosis. Most of these have been covered elsewhere. I would like to focus on infected necrosis and sterile necrosis.
