Zusammenfassung
Gegenwärtig gibt es verhältnismäßig wenig Möglichkeiten für die Verwendung von Enzymen im medizinischen Bereich sowie den angrenzenden Gebieten, die potentiellen Einsatzm” oglichkeiten sind jedoch enorm. Die bisherigen positiven Ergebnisse sind allerdings vielversprechend und lassen das Potential, das in den Techniken steckt, erkennen. Die Möglichkeiten, die Enzymen in der Medizin und in der Pharmazie offen stehen, sind so breit gefächert, daß sich eine Unterteilung in drei Hauptpunkte — Enzymtherapie, analytische Anwendung und Herstellung pharmazeutischer Präparate - anbietet. Jedes Gebiet deckt zwar ein breites Anwendungsspektrum ab, für die erfolgreiche Anwendung von Enzymen gelten jedoch übergreifende Prinzipien. Dieses Kapitel behandelt vor allem Enzyme als Therapeutika. Die beiden anderen Themenkreise werden nur kurz gestreift.
