Abstract
We report the temperature dependence of resistivity and Hall coefficient RH for YBa2Cu3O6.9Hx and Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+yHx. The Hall density nH=V/RHe in the latter decreases linearly with x by nearly one per one hydrogen. The rate of the decrease of nH in the former is doubled, but the onset Tc remains constant at 93 K up to x=0.4. The analysis of these results suggests that H+ locating in the Cu(1)O plane of YBCO induces a localization of the neighboring carriers. On the other hand, H+ near the CuO2 or BiO plane in BSCCO donates one electron to the hole band, which results in an enhancement of Tc from 80 to 90 K.
