Zusammenfassung
Schreckreaktionen als Folge eines unerwarteten plötzlichen Reizes stellen einen normalen Reflex dar, der — in mehr oder weniger starkem Ausmaß — bei allen Menschen vorkommen kann. Sie kommen für einen flüchtigen Moment zur Beobachtung, unterdrücken alle anderen motorischen Aktivitäten und können willentlich nicht unterdrückt werden. Diese Reaktionen werden öfter durch Anspannung, Streß, Ermüdung und Schlafmangel provoziert bzw. in verstärkter Ausprägung registriert. Auch Patienten mit einer Angstneurose können ein solches Ereignis in stärkerem Ausmaß zeigen.
