Zusammenfassung

Jede Art von medizinischer Behandlung, v. a. die chirurgische Therapie, kann nur wirksam sein, wenn sie sich an der Pathophysiologie der jeweiligen Erkrankung orientiert. Da die Herzinsuffizienz ein klinisches Syndrom beschreibt, ist es notwendig, im Hinblick auf die chirurgischen Therapiemöglichkeiten Ursache und Pathogenese der Herzinsuffizienz zu eruieren.
