Abstract
Besides the general laws regulating our social life (property rights, penal law etc..), several specific laws can step in practice of the work of a plant breeder. Chronologically, these laws are patent law, trade marks law, protection of know-how and industrial secrecy and finally protection of plant breeders’ rights.
