Zusammenfassung

Massive zerebrale Durchblutungsstörungen führen zum Absterben von Nervenzellen. Die Verringerung dieses Schadens ist Ziel einer Therapie mit neuroprotektiven Pharmaka. Trotz unterschiedlicher pharmakologischer Ansätze scheint die Wirkung vieler Substanzen auf den Erhalt der neuronalen Kalziumhomöostase gerichtet zu sein.
