Zusammenfassung
Zu Beginn der Behandlung mit Neuroleptika und Thymoleptika plötzlich auftretende Verwirrtheitszustände mit Erregung und Halluzinationen. Ältere Patienten sind prädisponiert. Diese Nebenwirkung kann sowohl bei anticholinergisch wirksamen Antidepressiva vom Typ des Imipramins und Amitryptilins als auch bei länger anhaltender Behandlung mit Neuroleptika aus der Phenothiazin-Reihe auftreten. Letztere führen vor allem zu einem amentiellen Syndrom.
