Abstract

The incidence of cerebrovascular diseases increases with age, from 0.03% to 0.04% per year under 45 years to 0.2% per year or more over 60 years [1]. On average, men outnumber women in all age groups, but a slight predominance of women under 45 years of age was recently observed [2].
