Abstract

The evaluation of the course of anorexia nervosa has been a methodological problem for years and numerous solutions have been proposed to overcome the difficulties. Especially comparisons of different studies and metaanalyses reveal that valid criteria for assessing the course of the disease, if applied at all, are not used uniformly.
