Zusammenfassung
In einfachen Regelsystemen steckt das eigentliche „Wissen“ausschließlich in den Regeln, während die Datenbasis eine unstrukturierte und passive Menge von Fakten ist. Gegenstand dieses Kapitels sind Formalismen, mit denen eine Menge von Fakten besser strukturiert, ökonomisch abgespeichert und mit „Basiswissen“über ihre Verwendung ausgestattet werden kann. Eine erste Strukturierung erreicht man durch die Zusammenfassung aller Aussagen über ein Objekt in einer Datenstruktur wie z.B. Records in PASCAL, Propertylisten in LISP oder Relationen einer Datenbank (s. Abb. 5.1).
