Zusammenfassung
Freuds frühe Auffassung vom Über-Ich konzentrierte sich vor allem auf die präödipalen Wurzeln im Ich-Ideal, auf den Wunsch des Kindes also, den verlorenen Narzißmus der Kindheit durch die Identifikation mit den idealisierten elterlichen Imagines wiederzugewinnen. Wie durchgängig diese Auffassung ist, spiegelt sich — selbst nach der Einführung des Begriffs des Über-Ichs im Jahre 1923 — im mehr oder weniger austauschbaren Gebrauch der Begriffe Ich-Ideal und Über-Ich wider.
