Zusammenfassung

Bei der Diskussion über die Ursachen suizidalen Verhaltens wird häufig broken home als „Prädisposition“ (Haffter 1979) oder direkter „Bedingungsfaktor“ (Kitamura 1982) suizidaler Handlungen genannt. Empirische Untersuchungen über die Bedeutung eines broken home lassen sich im wesentlichen in zwei Gruppen einteilen: Studien, die sich auf den life event-Ansatz beziehen, bei dem die pathogene Wirkung von Einzelereignissen betont wird, und Untersuchungen, die einen biographischen, die gesamte Lerngeschichte eines Menschen berücksichtigenden Ansatz, vertreten.
