Abstract
The Government supported PACS projects are at Leeds General Infirmary and at Hammersmith Hospital. The Leeds group are carrying out an assessment of computed radiography units, and developing image processing algorithms.
The Hammersmith group is installing a whole hospital PACS. The economic basis for this project is presented. The special problems arising from the installation of PACS in a postgraduate teaching hospital are discussed.
