Abstract
The problems, which interest CEA/DAM for atmospheric reentry of strategic missile, need robust hypersonic codes because they have to consider complex physical models around various configurations. The high magnitude reached by the temperatures, oblige us to take into account the dissociation of air molecules, the ionization and the wall ablation effects.
