The Role of Cytoplasmic Calcium Concentration in Photoreceptor Light Adaptation

Experiments designed to minimize the normal light-induced changes in cytoplasmic free calcium concentration in rods and cones have shown that photoreceptor light adaptation is mediated primarily by altered internal calcium concentration.
