Abstract

Dermatoses due to helminthic infections are especially frequent in tropical and subtropical zones. Climate, socioeconomic conditions, poor hygiene and inadequate health services favour their development. In a number of countries they are a serious public health problem. Of dermatological interest are:

  • Creeping Eruption

  • Filariasis

  • Loiasis

  • Dracunculiasis

  • Onchocerciasis

  • Late cutaneous schistosomiasis

  • Cercarial dermatitis
