Zusammenfassung
Die dreidimensionale Darstellung von Organen, Tumoren und ganzen Körperteilen war bisher der Kernspintomographie (MRT) und der Computertomographie (CT) vorbehalten. Aus den Schnittbildern, die mit Hilfe dieser beiden Verfahren von einem Körper gewonnen werden, wird eine dreidimensionale Darstellung errechnet. Die dabei erzeugten äquidistanten Schnittbilder liegen immer parallel zueinander. Durch die parallele Folge der zweidimensionalen Schnitte wird das untersuchte Gewebe räumlich abgescannt. Mit Hilfe der digitalen Bildverarbeitung kann die gewonnene Information räumlich rekonstruiert und dargestellt werden (Artzy et al. 1981; Rhodes 1978; Shani 1980; Sinak et al. 1984).
