Zusammenfassung
Erfolge in der Gewebediskriminierung geben Anlaß zu der Hoffnung, daß im Ultraschallecho Informationen verborgen sein könnten, die mit Standardgeräten noch nicht oder erst unvollständig ausgewertet werden. Hier sollen hauptsächlich die methodischen Aspekte zur Erkennung von Gewebemerkmalen durch Auswertung der Feinstruktur der Echoinformation erörtert werden. Fortschritte in der Gerätetechnik unterstützen diese Verfahren. Wenn die Eigenschaften von echogenem Gewebe hinsichtlich chemischer Zusammensetzung, Textur und Feinstruktur durch den Ultraschall erkennbar werden, eröffnen sich zusätzliche diagnostische Möglichkeiten.
