Zusammenfassung

Information in der Medizin ist vielfach multimedial. Erst die integrative Zusammenfassung von Bildern in unterschiedlichen Modalitäten, Signalen, Daten und Texten ergibt einen qualifizierten Befund oder hilft bei der Therapie. In der modernen Kommunikationstechnik ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Networks) heißt diese Zusammenfassung „Diensteintegration“, die mit einer durchgängig digitalen Übertragungstechnik ermöglicht wird. Dieser Beitrag zeigt nun insbesondere auf, in welcher Weise ISDN-Ideen mit multimedialen Ansprüchen in der Medizin in Verbindung zu bringen ist.
