Zusammenfassung

Die Untersuchung von Urin, Blut oder Sekret aus dem Urogenitaltrakt ist oft richtungsweisend für weitere urologische Untersuchungen und kann häufig sogar eine Diagnose ermöglichen. Da schätzungsweise 20% aller Patienten, die die Praxis eines Arztes für Allgemeinmedizin aufsuchen, über urologische Beschwerden klagen, muß der Arzt ein fundiertes Wissen über die bei diesem Untersuchungsmaterial anzuwendenden Labortests haben. Eine sinnvolle Anwendung dieser Analysen ermöglicht eine genaue, schnelle und sparsame Sicherung der vermuteten Diagnose und kann daher für die richtige Behandlung des Patienten ausschlaggebend sein.
