Zusammenfassung
Neben der klinischen Untersuchung gewinnen apparative Zusatzuntersuchungen immer mehr an Bedeutung für die Diagnose von Status epileptici und ihre Ätiologie. Es bedarf dabei der Kenntnis um Grenzen und Möglichkeiten der Aussagefähigkeit solcher Hilfsmethoden, um durch die erhobenen Befunde nicht falsche Schlüsse zu ziehen. So schließt ein unauffälliges Oberflächen-EEG z.B. nicht zwangsläufig einen Status fokaler Anfälle aus.
