Abstract

The following concerns the now widely discussed concepts of “selective muscle training” and “selective use of muscle” that come from Klein-Vogelbach’s Functional Kinetics and deserve special attention in physiotherapy. The theory behind them is explained in the training courses “Selective Training of the Abdominal and Back Muscles” and “Selective Training of the Muscles of the Extremities”, and they are employed in practical physiotherapy. These concepts are of great help in the analysis of movement.
