Abstract
Isolated peripheral lesions of the muscular branches of the radial nerve on the forearm are rare injuries. They are mostly caused by a pointed instrument, only a small skin lesion is seen on the extensor side of the forearm. In comparison to sensible nerve lesions, peripheral muscular nerve injuries are in most cases neither diagnosed nor treated at the first examination. Due to the lack of sufficient diagnosis of the nerve injury most of the patients need secondary reconstruction.
