There are a number of relatively interesting but unfrequent indications for thoracoscopy. The thoracoscopist in training need not be concerned about these indications, as they usually require a good deal of experience. They should be mentioned, however, for the sake of completeness and to indicate the possible scope of the technique for the physician who truly becomes an expert.
