Abstract

The beginning of a process of superpower accommodation on regional conflicts creates large opportunities for mutual action against countries which are seeking to create nuclear weapons. The improvement in Soviet-American relations leads one to hope that a dangerous neglect of nuclear non-proliferation in crisis regions will be prevented.
