Role of the Day Hospital in Rehabilitation and Resettlement at Home

Abstract

Geriatric day hospitals are gradually becoming a recognised part of geriatric practice throughout the world, having being pioneered in the United Kingdom. The first purpose-built day hospital was at Cowley Road Hospital, Oxford, where the emphasis was on the management of confused old people.
