Abstract

Patients treated with prothrombin complex concentrates (PCC) have frequently been found to develop thrombotic events (Kaspar 1975; Cederbaum 1976). Therefore, PCC must be regarded as potentially thrombogenic substances (Elödi 1977). In order to reduce the risk of thromboembolic complications the addition of heparin was recommended (Ménaché and Roberts 1975).
