Abstract

The most interesting aspect of W-pair production at LEP2 will be the direct test of gauge boson self-interaction by the measurement of the production cross section σ(e+e- → W+W-). One will be able to determine with good precision the so far experimentally unverified triple gauge couplings γW+W- and ZW+W- which are predicted by the Standard Model [1, 2]. Their s-channel contributions greatly reduce the t-channel υ-exchange cross-section by the gauge cancellation mechanism [3]. The main topics which can be investigated are the following [2]
