Abstract
Martensitic transformation in small gas evaporated cobalt particles (<100 nm) has earlier been discussed using conventional electron microscopy. The results can shortly be described as an extremely regular banded twinning structure within the particles. In this paper it will be presented new results on the same transformation and also on the particle formation and interaction but now using high resolution electron microscope methods.
