Zusammenfassung

Seitdem die gezielte operative Hemmung der Aktivitäten der Wachstumsfuge zum Zweck der Wachstumslenkung — Epiphyseodese — eingeführt worden ist, hat es immer wieder kontroverse Diskussionen um ihren Wert gegeben [1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 11, 16]. Als Zwischenbilanz kann man feststellen, daß nach anfanglicher Euphorie jetzt von der Mehrzahl eine eher abwartende bis ablehnende Haltung eingenommen wird.
