Zusammenfassung

In den letzten 10 Jahren ist verhaltensorientierte Familientherapie (VFT) bei immer mehr psychischen Erkrankungen eingesetzt worden. Dieser Ansatz unterscheidet sich insofern von den meisten anderen familienbezogenen Therapieformen, als hier die wichtige Funktion der Familie für den Erhalt der Gesundheit sowie die Genesung nach einer Erkrankung gegenüber potentiell krankmachenden Einflüssen betont wird., Dementsprechend steht die Vermittlung von Problemlösestrategien zur besseren Bewältigung alltäglicher Belastungen im Vordergrund. Ineffektive Problemlösestrategien finden keine Beachtung, mögen sie auch noch so bizarr erscheinen.
