Angioscopic Diagnosis of Vascular Changes
- 21 Downloads
Diagnostic criteria for PTA of vessels have not yet been defined. At present only a few research groups practice transfemoral and transluminal angioscopy in the manner described here, and consequently experience with the technique is limited. In this section angioscopic evaluation of healthy as well as atherosclerotic, inflammatory, actinic, and thrombotic changes of vessels is illustrated. It should be kept in mind that angioscopic diagnosis is at present primarily descriptive and must be assessed in relation to established angiographic criteria.
