Laparoscopy in Oncology

  • Giorgio Dagnini

Abstract

Laparoscopy is indicated in the diagnosis and the study of abdominal tumors:
  1. 1.

When the diagnosis suggests that an abdominal neoplasm is probable or likely but the situation is not clarified by the clinical, laboratory, and radiological findings.

  2. 2.

In abdominal “staging” of a known malignant tumor.

  3. 3.

For “follow-up” and “restaging” of a malignant tumor under therapy.
