Zusammenfassung
Nachdem in den beiden vergangenen Jahrzehnten Streptokokken der Serogruppe B (GBS) als wichtigste Organismen im Verursacherspektrum neonataler Infektionen erkannt wurden, konzentrieren sich die Bemühungen von Geburtshelfern und Neonatologen nunmehr auf die Prophylaxe, die Früherkennung und die Frühtherapie der B-Streptokokkensepsis.
Die im Text angeführten Ergebnisse entstanden, soweit nicht durch Literaturzitate belegt, in Zusammenarbeit mit Ulrike Jäger, Barbara Lung und Saskja Ruckriegel.
