Zusammenfassung

Indikationen zur chirurgischen Beendung der Geburt zugunsten der Mutter und des Neugeborenen sind heutzutage vielfach verbreitet. Perinatologische Morbidität und geburtshilfliche Komplikationen sind u. a. deshalb fortlaufend zurückgegangen. Leider sind diese positiven Ergebnisse belastet von bestimmten Risiken. Unter dem klinischen Eindruck einer erhöhten mütterlichen Morbidität nach Sectio sind sowohl die Indikationen zur Schnittentbindung als auch die peripartale Morbidität zu beurteilen.
