Zusammenfassung
Eine Voraussetzung für die Nachprüfbarkeit von Simulationsergebnissen ist die Transparenz aller Schritte einer Simulationsstudie, die sich entscheidend auf das Ergebnis auswirken. Insbesondere das Modell selbst und die ihm zugrundeliegenden Annahmen müssen in nachvollziehbarer Weise dokumentiert sein. Bei der Darstellung der Modellstruktur stellt sich das Problem, komplexe Zusammenhänge transparent zu machen. In einer empirischen Untersuchung wurde die Verständlichkeit von System-Dynamics-artigen Modelldiagrammen für Betrachter mit geringen Vorkenntnissen auf dem Gebiet der Computersimulation getestet. Es zeigte sich, daß sich die Gestaltung des Diagramms auf das Vertrauen auswirkt, das der Betrachter dem Modell entgegenbringt, jedoch nur geringen Einfluß auf die tatsächlich vermittelte Sachinformation hat.
