Abstract
ICP-monitoring by means of an intraventricular indwelling catheter was introduced for routine clinical work by Lundberg (1960). This technique seems to have comparatively few complications, as shown by Sundbärg (1988) and it is still the “gold standard” with which other methods are compared.
