Prostaglandin E1 bei fortgeschrittener arterieller Verschlußkrankheit — Ergebnisse einer multizentrischen Studie

Zusammenfassung

Prostaglandin E1 (PGE1) wurde erstmals 1973 von Carlson und Eriksson [2] bei Patienten mit fortgeschrittener arterieller Verschlußkrankheit eingesetzt. In den folgenden Jahren berichteten mehrere Arbeitsgruppen [6, 9, 10, 13, 14, 16] über positive Ergebnisse mit PGE1 in der Behandlung der fortgeschrittenen arteriellen Verschlußkrankheit. Hierbei wurde PGE1 intraarteriell über 2–7 Wochen, in einzelnen Fällen auch länger gegeben [7, 11]. Erste klinische Untersuchungen sprechen auch für die Wirksamkeit von intravenös verabreichtem PGE1 in höherer Dosierung [5, 12, 17, 18].
